CREATIVE FRUITS introduces…
July 10, 2009Moordesign
MOORDESIGN – The design salon balances both sides of creative + industry for our associates. Designed to inspire, please and educate, to share information and exchange knowledge; a forum for creative expression and exhibition for visual artists, designers/designer-makers, writers, fashionistas and creative business owners in the Creative Industries.
Working in association with UNTOLD and the London Design Festival at The V&A, we place our focus on Fashion. We are presenting a series of panel sessions featuring industry experts and successful practitioners in the salon that have been created to explore issues and provide tips and solutions to the challenges that new and emerging Fashion design talent may encounter when handling the business side of their creativity.
The Trunk Show is our creative element of the design salon where we curate and showcase talented artistic and design associates.
A historical influence
For the concept of MOORDESIGN as a design salon Creative Fruits draws its inspiration from the historically famous philosophical and literary gatherings of the 17th and 18th century in Parisian society where men and women sought to increase their knowledge through conversations and readings. They evolved into a place of enlightenment where the exchange of news, ideas and knowledge flourished and importantly functioned as a major channel of communication among intellectuals, artists, writers, and progressive thinkers. Its focus typically centred on the literary arts but also covered art, fashion, business and politics.
